1. Does my child need to have dance experience to enroll in the Hip Hop classes?
A: Not at all. The Hip Hop classes in Mafamude are designed with a special focus on beginners. At Apolo Gaia, the teaching method is step-by-step, ensuring that even young people with no prior experience feel welcome, motivated, and able to keep up with the class from day one.
2. What is the ideal age to start, and what is taught in the classes for young people (10+)?
A: Starting from age 10 is a fantastic time to begin, as young people already have the ideal coordination and energy for the dynamic movements of Hip Hop. In the classes, they learn rhythmic foundations, fundamental movements of Hip Hop culture, freestyle (improvisation) work to stimulate creativity, and of course, group choreographies that develop memory and teamwork.
3. What kind of clothing and footwear should my child wear to the classes?
A: Comfort and freedom of movement are the priority. It is recommended to wear practical and comfortable clothing, such as sweatpants (loose or fitted), a t-shirt, and clean-soled sneakers intended for indoor or class use only. It is not necessary to buy any specific equipment to get started.
4. What are the main benefits of the Hip Hop classes at Apolo Gaia?
A: Besides being an extremely fun physical activity, Hip Hop is a powerful development tool. Students improve their physical stamina, coordination, and strength, but the most important benefits are the incredible increase in self-confidence, self-esteem, and the capacity for personal expression. They also learn discipline and the importance of respect and collaboration within a group.
5. Who are the teachers and what is the class environment like in Mafamude?
A: The Apolo Gaia team is composed of experienced instructors who are passionate about dance and teaching. The class environment is safe, inclusive, and free of judgment. A culture of mutual respect is fostered, where each student is encouraged to develop their own style and express their individuality.
6. Is it possible to do a trial class before committing to enrollment?
A: Yes, of course. We believe the best way to get to know the space is by experiencing it. Therefore, all new students are invited to a no-obligation trial class. To schedule one, simply get in touch.
7. Is Hip Hop a safe dance style for my child? Is there a risk of injury?
A: Safety is the top priority at Apolo Gaia. Hip Hop is a very safe style when taught by qualified professionals. All classes include a proper warm-up to prepare the body, and movements are taught progressively to ensure students build the necessary strength and technique to prevent injuries.
8. What is the maximum number of students per class?
A: The classes have a limited number of spots precisely to ensure that each student receives the personalized attention they deserve. This allows the instructor to correct postures, provide individual feedback, and ensure everyone feels integrated and supported in their development.
9. Do students have the opportunity to perform or participate in shows?
A: Yes! At Apolo Gaia, students are encouraged to share their talent. Performances and participation in local events in Mafamude are regularly organized, giving the students the opportunity to experience the stage. It's a moment of great pride for them and a fantastic way to celebrate their progress.
10. How do the monthly payments work?
A: Payment is made monthly, through the methods indicated by the Apolo Gaia administration. Timely payment is important to ensure the smooth operation of the classes and to reserve your child's spot.
