1. What exactly is Reiki Level 2 and how does it differ from Level 1?
A: Reiki Level 2 — or Okuden — is the second level of Reiki initiation. While Level 1 focuses on energy channelling and self-treatment, Level 2 deepens the practice with the learning of Reiki sacred symbols, distance energy sending and the development of therapeutic practice with others. It is a level of deep transformation — mental, emotional and spiritual.

2. Is it mandatory to have completed Level 1 to enrol?
A: Yes. The Reiki Level 2 Course is intended for those who have already completed Level 1. The foundation acquired in Level 1 is essential for the progression and full benefit of Level 2.

3. What are the Reiki Level 2 symbols?
A: The Reiki Level 2 symbols — Chokurei, Seiheiki and Honshazenshonen — are energetic tools that amplify and direct Reiki energy. Each symbol has a specific function: enhancing energy, working on the mental and emotional field, and sending energy at a distance.

4. What is distance energy sending?
A: Distance sending — Enkaku Chiryo-Ho — is one of the great new features of Level 2. It allows Reiki energy to be sent to people, situations or moments in the past and future, regardless of physical location. It is one of the most transformative techniques in Reiki.

5. How is the course structured?
A: The course has a total duration of 22 hours, carried out over 4 months. It includes an initial intensive class, monthly follow-up classes and a treatment internship with another person — ensuring a progressive and supported integration of the practice.

6. Does the course have a certificate?
A: Yes. Upon completion of the course a Reiki Level 2 certificate is issued, accompanied by a manual and continuous support throughout the process.

7. Is the course in person or online?
A: The course is in person, held at Centro Reikilibrius, at Rua do Carmo 21A, in Aveiro.
