1. What exactly is Reiki Level 1 and what will I learn?
A: Reiki Level 1 — or Shoden — is the first level of initiation into this energy healing practice. Throughout the course you will learn the history and principles of Reiki, how to channel Reiki Energy, how to do self-treatment and treatment for others, and how to understand the chakras and the energy body. It is the starting point for a practice that can transform your life.

2. Is prior experience or any special gift required?
A: No. Reiki is available to anyone who seeks it — regardless of experience, belief or energetic sensitivity. As Master Hawayo Takata said, 'Reiki is available to those who seek it.' The only requirement is openness and the willingness to learn.

3. How is the course structured?
A: The course has a total duration of 20 hours. It begins with an intensive class from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and includes 4 monthly follow-up classes — ensuring a progressive and supported integration of the practice over time.

4. Does the course have a certificate?
A: Yes. Upon completion of the course a Reiki Level 1 certificate is issued.

5. After Level 1, can I continue my training?
A: Yes. Reiki has several levels of progression. After Level 1, you can advance to Level 2 — where you deepen the practice and learn to work at a distance — and subsequently to more advanced levels.

6. Is the course in person or online?
A: The course is in person, held at Centro Reikilibrius, at Rua do Carmo 21A, in Aveiro.
