Course Structure
- Online Classes — 2 sessions: Introduction to theoretical concepts and preparation for the in-person sessions.

About Xanda Bard
Xanda Bard is a pioneer in Family Constellation with Horses in Portugal since 2017. Creator of the Guardians of Horse Medicine, she is a constellation trainer, Apometrist and Master in NLP, specialist in horse/human communication. Originally from Brazil, she immigrated to Portugal in search of a new path — and found it alongside the horses. In 2024 she founded the Refuge of the Guardians of Horse Medicine in Espinho, where she works with her herd in service of human transformation.

1. What exactly is the Curso Conexão a Cavalo?
A: The Curso Conexão a Cavalo is a unique training programme that unites body awareness, emotional reading and personal development through the relationship with horses. Over 28 hours — between online classes and in-person sessions in Espinho — you will learn to be present, to communicate through the body and energy, and to create an authentic connection with yourself and with the horses.
2. Is prior experience with horses required?
A: No. The course is accessible to anyone — regardless of experience with horses or level of personal development. The most important thing is to feel the call and have openness to the experience.
3. What is the structure of the course?
A: The course has 28 hours in total — 2 online classes of 2 hours each (8:30 PM – 10:30 PM) and 3 in-person classes of 8 hours each (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM) in Espinho. Dates are confirmed with enrolled participants after registration.
4. Who is this course for?
A: For those who feel the call of the horse as a form of connection with spirituality and self-knowledge. For therapists, coaches and constellation facilitators who want to integrate work with horses into their practice. For anyone who wants to grow and know themselves more deeply.
5. Are places limited?
A: Yes. The course has a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 participants — to ensure close, personalised and quality support. We recommend early registration to secure your place.
6. Does the course lead to a certificate?
A: Completion of this course gives access to a second stage — which includes a final project and a 20-hour voluntary internship at an equestrian centre or farm — required to obtain professional certification. Contact us for more information about this second stage.
7. Do the online and in-person classes have specific technical requirements?
A: For the online classes you simply need a device with internet access and a camera — computer, tablet or mobile phone. For the in-person classes in Espinho, comfortable clothing suitable for being outdoors and in contact with horses is recommended.
8. How do I enrol?
